The short version

Overview

Cosmic Clash can be played when optional gameplay analytics is off. Some connected features—such as online leaderboards, ads, and in-app purchases—need network services to work. Those services process only the data needed for their features, measurement, security, and legal obligations, subject to the choices described below.

What we deliberately leave out

Cosmic Clash has no chat, social feed, in-game email registration, contact-list upload, survey system, or location feature. The optional website forms ask for the Google Play email you choose to submit for Android access, or your reply email and support message plus any device details you choose to provide. Custom gameplay analytics does not include your name, Game Center alias, purchase receipt, transaction identifier, ad response payload, or free-form text.

What moves off your device

Data we process

Online identity and leaderboards

Unity Gaming Services creates an anonymous player account so the game can identify a returning player and operate its leaderboards. Unity may process a Unity Player ID, session and access tokens, IP address, generated display name, leaderboard scores, ranks, and service logs.

On Apple devices, you may also use Game Center. When Game Center authenticates, Cosmic Clash receives Apple’s game-specific player identity proof and alias so it can link the matching Unity player, use the alias as the leaderboard display name, and submit scores to Apple’s leaderboards. The app does not receive your Apple Account password or payment-card details.

Optional gameplay analytics

Unity Analytics starts only when the current Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) status is authorized and no deletion request is pending. Analytics may include IP address, Unity player and installation identifiers, IDFV, session, platform, and device information together with these game events:

  • run starts and completions, duration, score, launches, merges, combos, and highest planet;
  • coin balances, coin sources and spending, permanent merge-benefit state, and economy/scoring configuration versions;
  • shop views, product selections, power-up interactions, progression milestones, and experiment variant;
  • rewarded-ad offers and outcomes, ad impressions, ad format/source, and impression-level value and currency; and
  • purchase starts and Unity IAP’s standard transaction or failed-transaction events.

Advertising

Cosmic Clash uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) for banner and rewarded ads. Depending on your device settings, region, consent, and Google’s systems, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process IP address and coarse location inferred from it, device or app identifiers, advertising ID when permitted, consent state, ad impressions, clicks and interactions, advertising data, crash logs, and performance data. Cosmic Clash receives ad delivery and impression information used to grant rewards, measure ads, and prevent invalid traffic.

Purchases

Apple processes payments through the App Store. Cosmic Clash and Unity IAP process the product identifier, purchase outcome, localized price and currency, storefront information, and receipt or transaction data needed to validate, grant, and restore purchases. We do not receive your full payment-card number.

Information kept on your device

Coins, purchased-benefit state, settings, local score history, unlocks, ad eligibility, and privacy/deletion state are stored locally. Device motion is used on-device for the starfield effect. Cosmic Clash does not include raw motion readings in its custom analytics events.

Support and this website

If you email support or use the website support form, we receive your email address and whatever message and device details you choose to include. If you use either website form, FormSubmit processes the information you provide and forwards the request to us by email. The website does not add analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. GitHub hosts the site and may process technical request data, such as IP address and browser information, under its own privacy statement.

Purpose and legal basis

Why we process it

  • Provide the game: authenticate a player, operate leaderboards, fulfill and restore purchases, and deliver requested ad rewards.
  • Keep services reliable: diagnose failures, secure online accounts, prevent abuse, fraud, accidental rewards, and invalid ad traffic.
  • Improve Cosmic Clash: when analytics is authorized, understand balance, progression, difficulty, economy, usability, ads, and experiments.
  • Serve and measure ads: show contextual, limited, or personalized ads as allowed by your ATT, Google privacy choices, region, and device settings.
  • Meet legal obligations: maintain transaction records, respond to valid requests, and protect legal rights.

Where applicable law requires consent, we rely on your consent for optional analytics, tracking, and personalized advertising. For essential game and transaction services, we rely on performing the service you requested, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the game, and legal obligations as applicable in your region.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect players or services, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your contact information or custom gameplay analytics for money. AdMob’s use of identifiers for personalized ads may be considered “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or “tracking” under some laws; the controls below apply.

Controls in your hands

Your privacy choices

Apple tracking permission

ATT is Cosmic Clash’s gate for both optional gameplay analytics and cross-company ad tracking treatment. If ATT is denied or restricted, gameplay analytics stays off and the app does not authorize personalized tracking treatment. You can change ATT in iOS Settings. Ads may still be shown in contextual or limited form.

Google ad privacy choices

Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) is a separate regional consent system. When Google requires an options form, you can reopen it from Settings → Privacy & Data → Ad Privacy Choices.

Delete Analytics Data

This turns off future gameplay analytics on that installation and sends Unity a request to delete analytics associated with the current player. The app keeps analytics off so an offline retry is not cancelled. Unity says a player deletion request may take up to 30 days to complete.

Delete Online Account

This action is intended to request analytics deletion, remove the current player’s entries from all live Cosmic Clash Unity leaderboards, delete the Unity Authentication account, clear local ranked score history, and disable online score uploads.

Current limitation

As of the effective date, the production server component needed to complete the automated Unity account and leaderboard deletion has not been enabled and verified. Do not assume an in-game request completed unless the game explicitly confirms success. If it cannot finish, score uploads remain paused and you should email zandervonn@gmail.com.

This action does not delete coins, purchased benefits, Apple Game Center scores, archived leaderboard data, or App Store purchase history. Apple controls its records under your Apple Account. Enabling online scores later may create or link a new Unity player; a prior analytics-deletion choice remains in effect on that installation.

How long information remains

Retention

  • Unity Authentication: player identity data is generally retained while the account exists and until it is deleted.
  • Unity Leaderboards: scores may be retained until they are deleted or the leaderboard is reset; Unity’s default can otherwise be indefinite.
  • Unity Analytics: raw event data is generally retained for 13 months. Metrics and player-profile data may remain until deletion. Unity says SDK player-deletion requests are completed within up to 30 days.
  • Unity Cloud Code: technical logs associated with a deletion attempt may be retained for up to seven days.
  • Apple and Google: transaction, Game Center, advertising, consent, diagnostic, and security data is retained under their policies and legal obligations.
  • Support messages: correspondence submitted by email or the website form is kept only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, maintain necessary records, or meet legal obligations.
  • Android access requests: we keep the request only as long as needed to manage tester access and related communication. FormSubmit states that its submission archive is retained for 30 days.
  • On-device data: remains until the app clears it, you use an available reset/delete control, or the app and its local data are removed, subject to platform backup behavior.

Global services

International processing and security

Unity, Apple, Google, and GitHub operate internationally, so information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States and European Economic Area. Unity currently documents Analytics processing in Belgium and the Netherlands with a replicated copy in Iowa. Where required, transfers are governed by provider agreements and recognized safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Please review each provider’s linked policy for its locations and safeguards.

We use platform authentication, encrypted HTTPS connections, local purchase validation, limited event schemas, and deletion-state safeguards designed to reduce unnecessary collection and accidental account replacement. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we limit processing to what the game and its providers need for the purposes above.

General audience

Children

Cosmic Clash is a general-audience game and is not specifically directed to children under 13 or the higher minimum age that may apply where a player lives. The game does not ask for a date of birth, email address, or real name to play. If you are below the age at which you may consent to data processing in your country, use the game only with a parent or guardian’s involvement. If you believe we processed a child’s information contrary to applicable law, email us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Requests and questions

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal data, withdraw consent, opt out of targeted advertising or certain sharing, and appeal a decision about a request. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Use the in-game controls described above or email zandervonn@gmail.com. Please say that your request concerns Cosmic Clash and describe the right you want to exercise. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify the correct player or request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. To appeal a response, reply to the same email and state that you are requesting an appeal.

Keeping this current

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Cosmic Clash, its providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will change when we publish an update. If a change materially affects player choices, we will provide additional notice in the game or through the store listing when appropriate.
